Axiom Verge 2 for Switch delayed to 2021

Thomas Happ, the creator of the well received Axiom Verge, has announced today in a detailed blog post that the long-awaited sequel Axiom Verge 2 on the Nintendo Switch has had its release window pushed back to 2021. Mr. Happ cited the difficulties that this year has brought to the indie game’s development, but he remains confident that the game will push the boundaries of the genre as originally intended. It is now due to be released on the Nintendo Switch in the first half of 2021.

  1. Has this game been out on ps4 and or xbox one yet?
Would ve stupid to work on those versions before the switch since the switch version most likely will sell more than those counterparts

    1. Nope, the game hasn’t been released yet. It’s not finished yet. I’m pretty sure it won’t release on Switch last, considering the game was actually announced in a Nintendo indies presentation. Would be incredibly weird if Nintendo decided to feature a game that was coming to Switch last.

    2. I can see the confusion, since this is a Nintendo website they will talk about the Switch version (and the wording can be weird sometimes) but if you read the official statement nowhere it says anything about a specific version of the game.

So yeah, all versions is getting delayed, not just the Switch version
