The Super Mario 35th Twitter account has confirmed that Bowser’s Fury contained in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury can be selected right away from the game’s title screen and played anytime. This means you won’t need to play through Super Mario 3D World before you start Bowser’s Fury. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is coming to Switch on 12th February.
Hmm, while this may be cool for some, I still think Bowser’s Fury should be unlockable.
Might be just me, but I feel as though the current magnitude of Bowser’s Fury would be best enjoyed alongside a great feeling of accomplishment upon finally beating the main game and unlocking BF afterward, giving you more fun stuff to do even when the main journey is over. Post-game stuff basically.
However, I do realize that most people who played the game years ago may just want to buy the game now solely for BF and not want to be forced to replay the whole main game just to play BF, which is completely understandable, tbh.
I think it’s a similar thing to what happened to Xenoblade Chronicles. Many had already beat the game and either bought it to have it on the new system or to play the epilogue which was also unlockable from the start.
I think it’s a nice option, either way both game modes look like a blast with the enhancements to 3D world
Have they actually shown gameplay of bf yet? I imagined it was just a few extra levels.
I could agree with that. That’s how I’m going to play it. I like that they give you the option to choose your for yourself though as well
Would be cool if they added the 3D World levels back into Captain Toad if you own both, like they did on WiiU
So is re-buying the same game for one short mode worth $60, or is this game just for people who missed out the first time?
Times like this make me wish that the Switch had cross-save compatibility with the Wii U, instead of Nintendo pretending that no one bought the system in the first place (but refuse to give back every cent invested in the console, individual titles, and DLC content).
How do you know how long this is? have they said it or are you assuming?
