This week’s software and hardware charts are now in from Japan and the Switch remains the system of choice with Japanese consumers. The Nintendo Switch family shifted 89K units and the entire top ten comprises of Switch games. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury remains at No.1, but Square Enix’s recently released Switch exclusive Bravely Default II had a huge drop in sales this week as they were down 79% from last week. People must really despise Sword and Shield because it’s been on the top 10 every single time.
When you got a well known & very popular franchise, even the shittiest entries can sale well. Captain Marvel because of it’s MCU ties. The Disney Trilogy of Star Wars. Some would argue the Prequel Trilogy of Star Wars.
So true. But while Captain Marvel and Disney Star Wars are horrible trash movies who’s every single copy should be piled up and burnt, Sword and Shield are still good games. Not the games fans wanted, but still good.
Bravely Default II is difficult as hell. It is the boss levels that make this game almost impossible to beat. Square Enix needs to make a Pokemon difficult like this.
