Activison has confirmed that the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 remake for the Nintendo Switch will be handled by the original developer’s Vicarious Visions. Speaking to Polygon, a company spokesperson confirmed this was the case, which means that the port is in good hands. Vicarious Visions previously developed the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy port, but the Spyro Reignited Trilogy Switch port was developed by Toys for Bob. The Switch version of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 remake is due to arrive some time in 2021.
“Asked about the developer that is handling these ports, Activision told Polygon that original developer Vicarious Visions is on the case, even though Activision Blizzard recently merged the studio into Blizzard Entertainment.”
