What was eluded to thanks to a tweet recently published by Nintendo of America has now officially been confirmed: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 remake will be coming to Nintendo Switch and next-gen platforms later this year. The respray of the classic games has already launched on the PS4, Xbox One and PC, but those wanting to get in on the skater action on Switch hopefully won’t have to wait too much longer. The title is currently hovering around the 90% mark on metacritic at the time of writing with fan reviews also showering the game with a lot of praise. Check out the official announcement on Twitter below:
EDIT: you can pre-order the game from Amazon UK here for £39.99, and Amazon US here for $39.99.

Awesome. It seems like they put some good work into this re-release, $£40 seems like a fair price.
Any thoughts on why it wasn’t in the direct? I’m kinda thinking they didn’t want to put this awesome remaster next to their own efforts. Though we don’t know all the Skyward Sword details yet, so I don’t want to bash it too much at this time.

Maybe it’s out in the 2nd half of the year.

Nintendo deserves all the bashing when it comes to ports and remasters, they have the nerve to charge full prices for the same unimproved games knowing people with nostalgia glasses will eat it all up.
A remake launching at $40 dollars!! Unheard of in the nintendo corporate office.

After playing Skate, and then going back to any past Tony Hawk game it’s hard to ditch Skates flawless mechanics.
