Activision-Blizzard‘s well-regarded Diablo IV lands on the Nintendo Switch 2 this week and the company has detailed how the game will run on Nintendo’s latest platform. There will be both a quality mode and a performance mode. For quality mode Diablo IV runs at 30 fps at 1080p when played in handheld mode and 30 fps at 1440p in docked mode. For performance mode its 1080p 40fps when played handheld and docked it is 1080p and 40fps, but you will need a HDMI 2.1 compatible TV with 120hz, otherwise it will be 30fps docked.
Thanks to SonicGalaxy27 for sending in the news tip!

Nice to see devs putting the VRR to work already.
I don’t believe it uses VRR, but I could be wrong. I just meant a TV set with HDMI 2.1 to get the 40fps in docked mode. Sorry for any confusion!
A rare… apology… from the fungus infection.
Eww, your disgusting.
I will get this, as I loved Diablo 3 on Switch, but it’s gonna have to wait as it’s all about Fire Emblem for the next month or so
