Today, in the lead-up to Tokyo Game Show, SEGA revealed the first free character of Year Two for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds – Bayonetta – in their new video trailer. Fans of the legendary Umbra Witch will soon be able to bring her signature style and grace to the racetrack.
The new Bayonetta content will include the following items:
- Bayonetta as a playable character
- The Butterfly Witch machine
- Special emotes and sounds
Also seen in the Tokyo Game Show trailer is further gameplay footage of the Godzilla and EVANGELION Packs, announced as the first two DLC Packs for Year Two at Summer Game Fest 2026. Many more details on Year Two for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will be revealed during the World Championship Finals and Year Two Showcase livestream on Friday, October 9th.

Another forgotten old Sega character showing up in a dead unfinished game. Shocker.
It’s so weird seeing bayonetta in third party games. It does make sense because Nintendo only owns the exclusive right for 2 and 3, but seeing her in stellar blade and now Sonic crosswords is just weird even though it makes sense since sega owns the character.
That’s because they are the publishers of those games since SEGA does indeed owns Bayonetta franchise.
She should have replaced Danica Patrick in Transformed.
