There are only a couple of weeks until The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD releases on the Nintendo Switch, and that usually means that Nintendo’s advertising of the game is really kicking in now. It’s close enough to release that you may occasionally see commercials promoting the game airing. And one of them has been revealed.
Nintendo has released a video of a commercial for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. The 30-second advertisement is called “Your Destiny Awaits”. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is slated to launch exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on July 16th. You can see the video down below.

this looks like the laziest “remaster” ever, especially when you compare it to Windwaker HD/TP HD where they actually advertised additional features and QoL changes as its selling point. WW graphics were completely overhauled even. this just looks the same as it was 10 years ago.
Honestly TP wasn’t much better. It did remove some unnecessary padding, but for the most part it’s still the same as the original. Only real difference in TP was that it basically combined the GCN and Wii versions into one, which could be argued is more than what we’ve seen of SS, but I digress. I’m not gonna say that because I see TPHD as the same level as SSHD that that means you should get it, but I do want to emphasize that the two aren’t nearly as different in circumstance as people make them out to be. I’ll be getting SSHD like I did with TPHD because I need a new way to play these games, but I do feel like you’re completely justified with not feeling like it’s worth it.
WWHD was an absolutely great remaster though. I wish all of the remakes and remasters were of the same quality
