Octopath Traveler proved to be a solid and good selling JRPG from Square Enix for the Nintendo Switch system when it launched back in 2018. Now it seems that the time has come to announce a new game in the series. As well as providing some lovely new artwork celebrating Octopath Traveler’s third anniversary the team on Twitter have teased that the time has come for a new journey and that the developers are working hard to make that happen,.

Isn’t that new journer Project Triangle Strategy?
They wouldn’t tease “a new journey” for a game that’s already been long announced. That sort of phrasing usually implies an announcement of something new on the horizon.
Plus, Triangle Strategy isn’t even being made by the same studio as Octopath.
