New Pokemon Snap update due late today also makes certain aspects more intuitive

A major new update for New Pokemon Snap is coming tomorrow and as we have already reported it will contain three brand new maps for you to explore and snap Pokemon. That’s not all as the update also brings twenty new Pokemon for you to discover. It has emerged today that the update also features quality of life updates to make certain aspects of the game more intuitive. Here’s some of the changes you can expect:

  • When trying a level after completion, you can now select the Research Level again so you don’t have to exit out in order to select the same stage with a different Research Level
  • Can go directly to camp without having any photos assessed
  • If you achieve a LenTalk Mission with one of your photos, they will get flagged as meeting the requirements before you get it assessed
  • Can directly save images on to your Switch straight from the photo editing option

I don’t have the game so I didn’t know about these, but… Why wouldn’t these have been in the game from the beginning? These are QoL things that I’m surprised weren’t around from the start.

    1. These smaller things are often missed in testing for a lot of games. As Beta testing has you doing the same spot of the same level over and over, the testers often over look what is redundant due to their testing and what is actually going to be annoying for the final players.

  2. I can enjoy taking pictures of Milo, Kabu, Bede, Piers, Peony, Leon and Raihan but not Avery, Allister and Hop because they replaced Shauna, Bea and Klara.
