The upcoming Super Monkey Ball extravaganza Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania has an all-star cast of SEGA characters joining the fray including both Sonic & Tails, Beat from the much loved Jet Set Radio, and now, Kazuma Kiryu, the star of the long-running Yakuza series. He is another free unlock by completing challenges in the game. Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania is due out 5th October and includes more than 300 stages from Super Monkey Ball, Super Monkey Ball 2 and Super Monkey Ball Deluxe.

Makes sense, since Toshihiro Nagoshi created both franchises. It IS a little weird to see, though.
Here’s hoping more SEGA reps get to appear in the game, like Billy Hatcher (maybe he’ll come with an egg-shaped capsule that’s faster but unpredictable due to its uneven shape).

I really like the fact these characters are unlockable in the base game without needing them added later as an update.
