Rockstar announces Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition & Switch version coming later this year

RockStar Games have finally announced that they have been working on Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition which they say features graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements. Rockstar promises that they will share more details on the three games which are Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. in the coming weeks. The Nintendo Switch version of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will arrive later this year.

“In honor of the upcoming anniversary, today we are excited to announce that all three games will be coming to current generation platforms later this year in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and the Rockstar Games Launcher on PC. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will feature across-the-board upgrades including graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements for all three titles, while still maintaining the classic look and feel of the originals.   1. When I here “highly request GTA trilogy” I don’t think the games that have been re-re-released several times. But the games that include the first ever Console Game expansion Expansion Pack : GTA 1, GTA:London, and GTA 2.

    1. I was just about to say the same thing. I’m onboard for this but if it’s a cloud version then no way. I stiill can’t believe someone actually thought cloud games were a great idea for switch.

  2. I was debating getting this for the pc. Im glad its coming to the switch. And im curious regarding improvements. Will the game still handle like the old games or more in kin to the recent ones

  3. Graphically speaking, I wonder if the Switch version looks just as good as other versions? I know I’ll be getting the Switch version…..UNLESS I find out it looks better on PS4. OR unless I find out the Switch version isn’t all on the cartridge, like so many other Switch games were like.
