Capcom: Monster Hunter Stories 2 sold over 1.3m sold units and no major new games until after March 2022

Capcom has unleashed some new information in today’s latest financial report from the prominent developer. Firstly, the company has provided updated sales numbers for the charming Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, which has now surpassed 1,3 million copies sold. Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is available for both the Nintendo Switch and PC. The second piece of information which emerged from the latest financial reports is that the company has no major games scheduled for release until after March 2022. The Monster Hunter Rise DLC, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, is heading to the Nintendo Switch family of systems and PC next summer.

    1. Absolutely no idea why they would make one. Well, I guess from the perspective that people would buy it, and as a business that is self justifying, but the whole point of the remakes of 2 and 3 was to remake the gameplay to be more like 4. 4 is obviously already like 4, so its little more than putting shinier graphics on a game that isn’t ugly in the first place.

  1. I was going to say no Resident Evil Outbreak news before March 2022, but this is about no major game releases. So it could be announced at The Game Awards, that would be the place to do it.

  2. I’m hoping we get a new Ace Attorney announcement. I thoroughly enjoyed TGAA’s english release, but the series is technically on its longest hiatus to date.
