Lara Croft games coming to Switch

Lara croft games on Nintendo Switch 2022

Square Enix has announced today that two games featuring the iconic Lara Croft will be released next year on the Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately these aren’t new games staring everyones favourite adventurer, but they are solid games. The first game is Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light which was released in 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and the second is Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris which came out in 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Both of these games will be available for Switch owners in 2022.

Also announced today is a collaboration between Crystal Dynamics and Feral Interactive to bring Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris to Nintendo Switch in 2022, the debut of the Tomb Raider franchise on the console. Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris are arcade-inspired action-adventure games that combine the hallmarks of Tomb Raider, including exploration and discovery, platforming, and puzzle solving, with co-operative multiplayer, character progression and fun fast-paced combat.

    1. They aren’t, they where basically cheap mobile games disguised as console releases to begin with though, so it doesn’t mean much.

  1. i played these games on the xbox, they were pretty cool. platform with a little bit of RPG in them. think Darksiders Genesis just more puzzle/platform. and multiplayer.

  2. This is a bit disappointing when you see what other platforms are getting.

    In addition:

“As part of the celebration, many Tomb Raider games and add-ons on Steam, Humble Bundle, Green Man Gaming,, the Square Enix Store, the Xbox Games Store, and the PlayStation Store are on sale. During the sale, you can get a discount of up to 89%. Interested folks need only visit the online store of their choice and search for Tomb Raider to see what deals are available on their platform.”

The Switch eShop has nothing Lara Croft, and this is what they give us? They may be good, but they look like mobile games to me. I could be completely wrong, but I think the last Lara Croft game on a Nintendo platform was the Wii.
