UK: Nintendo Switch was best-selling console in December 2021, Xbox Series No.2, and PS5 No.3

Christopher Dring, who is a journalist for Games Industry and generally publishes the UK software charts on a Monday, has stated on Twitter that the Nintendo Switch family of systems were the best-selling video games consoles in the United Kingdom during the lucrative month of December. The Nintendo Switch family of systems were at No.1 and were followed by Microsoft’s Xbox Series X|S consoles at No.2 and Sony’s PlayStation 5 consoles at No.3. The full charts for the month of December in the United Kingdom are set to be released in the coming days.

Great to see Xbox Series outpacing Xbox One worldwide. That's not quite the case in the UK, although it's close. Xbox had a huge month in December in the UK, driven by renewed Series X stock. It was the second biggest console last month behind Switch (GfK data). More to come

Yikes, Xbox outselling PS5 in December in the UK, let me tell you that’s an issue of supply, not demand.
