Aspyr has admitted that the recent remaster of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 features a game breaking bug which has yet to be fixed and there’s currently no estimated time frame for the fix to be implemented. The bug means that owners of the game cannot currently complete the game, which really isn’t a good look for the developer. The fix will come in the next update which they promise they will inform everyone once it is released.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 can’t be completed due to game breaking bug which hasn’t been fixed and no ETA

Developers really don’t bother to test their games do they. Like whether it’s even possible to beat the game is surely the most important thing to test. But no, they just leave it to the players to test – they’ll fix it later with updates if required. I also think they ought to be a bit more apologetic about releasing a completely broken game, rather than just “this is a known issue” as if this is completely normal and acceptable.
you know the game is old, right? sometimes the original devs dont bother fixing known bugs, Aspyr has to talk to EA and Obsidian Entertainment about fixing the game so dont take it out on them, take it out on the original devs.
The original game didn’t have a game breaking bug affecting all players in the middle of the game, did it now?
It did not, and even if it did the port team should have still fixed it.
The original game is old, but this is a brand-new products that people just bought. You should expect it to work. Money -> Working product. That’s it.
It was very considerate of them to recreate the experience of playing it during its original launch.
