Xenoblade Chronicles 3 features different lip synching for English & Japanese

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 launches next month on the Nintendo Switch family of systems and judging from the recent Nintendo Direct presentation for the game it is shaping up to be another classic adventure for fans to get their teeth into. One Twitter user has discovered that the game features different lip synching for English voice acting and Japanese voice acting which is a first for the series and a more than welcome addition. no longer will the different characters facial expressions while conversing be as jarring as previous entries in the franchise. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is due out 29th July.

  1. Well the lip synching from past both titles was criticized even so the characters wasn’t saying something in the correct way in the English version during the animation. Thanks to Xenoblade 3 developers in the new game, the issue has now been resolved and fix correctly.

    1. Lip synching should not get people peepee hurt about as every JRPG has issues with lip synching for English, same applies to English dubs of anime. Good to see lip synching though.

  2. This is good to know! I never really noticed the voiceovers being off-sync in the past two games, but using language-specific lip syncing is really the standard nowadays, so glad they’re doing it now.
