Overwatch 2 reaches 25 million players in first ten days

It seems as though Overwatch 2 has been a big success for Blizzard despite its rocky launch due to the DDoS attacks and the now fixed problem with players progress not transferring over. The company says that the game’s launch has set an all-time record by reaching twenty-five million players in the first ten days. Since launch, the game has been reaching nearly 3x the amount of players per day as the previous daily peak for the original Overwatch game.

As a thank you to players, Blizzard is giving players who log in from 25th October through the end of Season One an all-new Cursed Captain Reaper Legendary skin and a Health Pack Weapon Charm.

Players can also earn double match XP on the following weekends:

  • Starting October 21 at 11:00 a.m. PT, ending October 24 at 11:00 a.m. PT
  • Starting October 28 at 11:00 a.m. PT, ending October 31 at 11:00 a.m. PT
  • Starting November 24 at 11:00 a.m. PT, ending November 28 at 11:00 a.m. PT

  1. They stuck a 2 next to a popular brand name and made the cost of entry free?
That is so shocking that 25 million people would download it and at least (try to) play 1 match.
