UK charts: Sonic Frontiers enters at No.4

Sonic looking at the stars in Sonic Frontiers

The latest boxed-video games charts have come through from the biggest gaming market in Europe, the United Kingdom. There is a new No.1 this week and it is the well-received God of War: Ragnarok which has dethroned Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and is now the second biggest video game launch of 2022, after FIFA 23. Elsewhere in the charts the latest 3D Sonic adventure by the Sonic Team, Sonic Frontiers, has entered the boxed charts at No.4.

“The next biggest new game this month is Sonic Frontiers at No.4. The Sega game sold 5% more copies in its first week than 2017’s Sonic Forces, although digital will likely extend that a bit. 40% of boxed sales were on PS5, 34% on Nintendo Switch, 14% on Xbox and 12% on PS4.”
