Rumour: Lord of the Rings Gollum coming between April and September 2023

A leaker on Reddit has stated that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, which has seen its release window pushed back several times, is now aiming for release between April and September this year. The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was first announced in 2019 and the team at Daedalic Entertainment were initially aiming for a 2021 release though the initial showing wasn’t entirely promising, so the team went back to the drawing board and have been beavering away at the game since. Hopefully the Gollum sees the light of day this year.

  1. Two years ago I was really interested in this game. With the switch’s catalogue being amazing, my want for this has diminished. If the make a Modor 3 though, am preordering that glorious wonder with no thought to spare.

    F=ma.

  2. Gollum isn’t the most favorite character despite his weird background. I think they are trying to go with a good/evil thing but with today’s society totally lost (bankrupt morally) it will just send the wrong message to people and I think internally the dev team may have realized that. They are probably debating (or have debated) whether or not to even bother to release this in the current climate.

    Remember when this game was first announced the world was a lot different place thanks to a few key things that are thrown out now.
