    1. What you mean? Switch sold about 55k first of all and second most people the last two years haven’t been able to get a PlayStation And bought a switch and now they can get a playstation, why they would want one idk. It literally has crap for games on it.
Given all of that though a 6-7 year old system still selling and competing hard with a new gem system, yeah Nintendo doesn’t have to worry and they have sold over 122 million j it’s as of Dec 31 surpassing the ps4 which is still being sold and is going on 10 years old.

  1. A temporary victory, Nintendo hasn’t even started yet, wait till the end of February, Nintendo will be winning again 😁

    1. The shortage is over, and the reason for the lack of software is because of their PS Collection. If you join PS Plus, you get about 20 PS5/4 games. So there’s no need to actually buy software right now. Not to mention that there isn’t that much for it anyways.

      1. So why isn’t the PS5 digital toping? Why are they buying a console that they aren’t going to be putting physical disk in then?

          1. Oh that make sense now you put it that way. I’d rather play PS4 games too than have to bring out last generation console to play it. You explained that very well.

        1. Is not that they aren’t, is that they don’t NEED to as of now. If you just bought a PS5, there’s not much to play on it that wasn’t on the PS4, just about everything was cross platform, and again, I’ll mention those 20 free PS Plus games.

And the digital version not selling as well as the standard PS5 is the same reason why the OLED is outselling the OG Switch, and Lite.

      2. False. pS plus has nowhere near the number of subscribers as nso online or Xbox.
The answer is ps literally has no games except for a couple worth playing. Everything else can be bought on switch and most likely people have already done this. The switch is just more dominate period.

  2. This trend will probably continue. The shortage is pretty much over for these things, and there 120m switches out there compared to the (30m?) PS5s. For Nintendo to start topping this list, they need to release the pro. Which would definitely push them past the PS2 life time sales.

    1. Warzone, Fortnite, Apex, Minecraft, Roblox, or they might even be subscribers to the any of the higher tier of PS Plus. This is going to become even more obvious as Sony releases their future GaaS, since that’s the route they’re heading towards.

      1. But all of those actually count towards sales even if they are free. As for ps plus it is literally a crap service. It has a third of subscribers than that of the nso online and less than a quarter of what gamepass has.

    2. There are literally as many switches sold worldwide as there are people in Japan 122 million as of Dec 31 so probably around 125 million now. Now considering the ps5 only has 31 million sold to date.
      That should answer your question.
