Pyra & Mythra Smash amiibo releasing in July

The Super Smash Bros. line of amiibo is just about complete. Pyra and Mythra are the only Smash amiibo left that Nintendo has already announced, with there currently still no word on whether there will be a Sora amiibo in the future. Nevertheless, the focus is still on Pyra and Mythra’s amiibo.

Well, Nintendo has finally confirmed a release date. The company has announced tonight that Pyra and Mythra’s amiibo will launch as a double pack on July 21st. Nintendo also confirmed that, if you have Xenoblade Chronicles 3, “each amiibo unlocks a unique Aegis Sword weapon skin that characters using the Swordfighter class can wield”.

If you can’t get the amiibo anytime soon, don’t worry. Nintendo says that both weapon skins can be unlocked in the base game “after meeting a condition within a patch that will be released in the future”. So, the amiibo are just a way for the player to unlock them much sooner. The official announcement tweet from Nintendo can be seen down below.
