The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been available to play on the Nintendo Switch for a few days now. Because of this, it was only a matter of time before sales data for the game would be coming in. Sure enough, some sales data came in for the UK yesterday, and now we’ve gotten some from France.
According to freelance journalist Oscar Lemaire, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has sold 500,000 physical copies in France in its first week. This data also includes sales of the Collector’s Edition of the game. That said, Lemaire also says that the game’s launch in France was a “much better start” than Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. In fact, Lemaire says that its launch was bigger than the launches of Red Dead Redemption 2 and FIFA 23 in the country.
That’s an impressive milestone for the first week, more impressive is the launch was bigger then Red Dead Redemption 2.
My only problem with this game is that it’s on the switch, that’s it.
||No, your only problem is how shortsighted you are…||
It’s safe to say you’re unintelligent but imma reply anyways. The Switch does not do this game justice.
||Gotta press those buttons harder…||
Troll is gonna troll.
How am I trolling?!
Don’t mind the drones. I agree, for how big a game like Zelda is, the old hardware doesn’t do it justice. Nintendo really needs a more powerful system soon.
What an ironic post.
Not a surprise since there were not many Zelda games, that sold not like hot cakes. Let see how long this success will continue.
