The Final Fantasy series has always been one of the most popular RPG series out there and a new game is in the series generally a big deal, Today, Square Enix has revealed the acclaimed franchise has now shifted 180 million units worldwide. The news was announced when the company revealed the Takarazuka Revue performance lineup which is an event by a Japanese musical theatre group. The latest Final Fantasy game is Final Fantasy XVI, which recently launched on Sony’s PlayStation 5 console as an exclusive game.

The collaboration between Takarazuka Revue and FINAL FANTASY will create an innovative musical work.”
I would have thought it would be much more than that actually.
Ikr, the main serious now has 17 games when you include X-2. In total with all spin offs there are over 50 games.
I am sure they are talking main series here but that’s still only 10.5 million each in the end none have really sold many more than 11 million other than FF7. It is well around 20 million right now and is making up for the rest of them. FF1 is at the bottom with 1.3. Million total not including remakes.
Not at all a huge accomplishment. Dragon Quest has sold 85 million which equals to around 7.7million each. You have to remember with dragon quest that many of their games were limited on consoles they were released on like the DS with many only being released in Japan as well. FF has always came to the states and world wide.
Recently purchased the Final Fantasy pixel remaster collection enjoying it more then i ever expected.
