The latest US video game sales charts for both software and hardware are in from Circana, which was previously known as the NPD Group. The best-selling video game for the month of Juny was the long-awaited Diablo IV, which shot straight to the top spot and was followed by Final Fantasy XVI, both of which were new entries. It should be noted that Nintendo doesn’t share eShop sales data, so Nintendo’s first party games such as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are based on physical sales alone. The best-selling video game format in sales and dollars was Sony’s PlayStation 5 console which Circana says is currently the No.1 platform in the United States for 2023, so far. Here’s the top ten best-selling video games for June 2023:

  1. Diablo IV
  2. Final Fantasy XVI
  3. Street Fighter 6
  4. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
  5. Hogwarts Legacy
  6. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
  7. Star Wars: Jedi Survivor
  8. MLB: The Show 23
  9. Marvel’s Spider-Man:Miles Morales
  10. Marvel’s Spider-Man

  1. I hope the dev’s update Diablo 4 eventually so it doesn’t require a constant Internet connection and being on Blizzards servers. Oftentimes i can’t even play alone because of long queue wait times, im not even trying to play online. Hopefully once they nerf the enemy mobs and exp farm spots they make Diablo 4 completely offline. It’s like dev’s just automatically assume everyone has the Internet nowadays and wants to play online.
