There were a state of panic on social media yesterday when information circulated that the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Volume 1 will run at 720p and 30fps on the Nintendo Switch family of systems. Thankfully, Konami has confirmed this afternoon that the Nintendo Switch version of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Volume 1 will actually be 1080p when played in docked mode and 720p when played in handheld, which makes sense. Both docked and handheld mode will run at 30fps on the Nintendo Switch family of systems. Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 owners will be disappointed to hear that neither platforms will play the collection in 4K resolution, but they will benefit from 60fps.
