The latest hardware and boxed-video game software charts for the month of August have been revealed from the biggest gaming market in Europe, the United Kingdom. The Nintendo Switch was the second best-selling console of the month, with Sony’s PlayStation 5 remaining the leader, followed by the Switch and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Sales of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are up month over month, but the Switch has seen a downturn, which is expected as it made its debut in 2017. The best-selling game was FIFA 23, which has been on sale as the new EA Sports FC 24 game is due out at the end of the month on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S.
