Nintendo slightly updates Peach’s look in new Princess Peach Showtime key art

Nintendo has made the decision to update the design of Princess Peach in her upcoming 2D platforming extravaganza, Princess Peach Showtime. The design change was noticed by an attentive X user and is applicable to both the western and Japanese versions of Princess Peach Showtime. The newer model more accurately represents Princess Peach’s movie design. Princess Peach Showtime will be released on Nintendo Switch on March 22nd.

  1. I rather Nintendo just have both designs separated, I actually prefer the game’s design over the movie one. Ugg, this is the colateral effect of making a movie, the company probably wants to “unify” designs because they probably think kids are dumb enough that if Peach have a slightly different design in the games nobody would recognize her or some dumb reason like that.

  2. Love cross-eyed Peach in the updated art, lol.
Also they changed kung-fu Peach’s expression as well. She looks more fierce in the updated art.

But yeah, the previous art was way better. Dear developers: DON’T FIX WHAT ISN’T BROKEN.

    1. Think whatever you want, bob. But people have opions, whether you like it or not. And some of thosr people, me included, dislike Discount Peach.

  3. I found the previous one strange (lighting, flat face), the new one is also strange (eye position) but it feels better to me.

The new face on martial Peach in the back is much better, it was a clone of the previous flat face before.

  4. The original art looks better. Don’t care for the more generic movie character look. That’s just not Peach. That’s every Dreamworks/Pixar/etc. female face ever just tweaked a bit to kinda resemble Peach.
