Princess Peach: Showtime! has been rated for Nintendo Switch

The super-cute Princess Peach: Showtime for the Nintendo Switch family of systems has now been rated by the Entertainment Software Rating Board. Peach’s latest platforming adventure was given an everyone 10 plus rating due to “fantasy violence” so it’s suitable for everyone of ages ten and upwards. A firm release date has already been announced for Princess Peach: Showtime as it is set to arrive on 22nd March.

  1. I doubt this will affect the number of units sold for Princess Peach Showtime, look how many kids play GTA and that’s rated mature by the ESRB.

  2. I mean, I don’t have any data/numbers correlating to age restrictions and sales on games, but I doubt the 10+ will turn that many parents away from buying A Princess Peach game for their kids.

  3. I’m curious to see what, exactly, is in PPS that they think warrants an E+10. Honestly sometimes I think the ESRB gets ratings wrong. 15 years later I still don’t see what got LoZ: Spirit Tracks an E+10 when it’s honestly no more violent than its predecessor Phantom Hourglass- in fact, I’d say they kinda of got the ratings backwards on those games (my main case being Link falling in lava- in PH he sinks into it while flailing in an attempt to get out VS in ST he rockets up into the air swatting at his burning behind. I would argue that the former scenario is more distressing to view than the latter.).
