Rumor: Mega Man games coming to Game Boy Nintendo Switch Online library

Update: Now confirmed by Nintendo

A busy video gaming news month is about to get underway. Nevertheless, that won’t stop Nintendo from releasing their monthly drop of retro additions to the Nintendo Switch Online libraries. The company is due for another one, so it isn’t surprising that a new rumor has appeared about the next batch of games.

A user on Reddit has allegedly taken a picture of what seems to be an error on the Portuguese Nintendo Switch eShop. The company may have accidentally put up a banner on the eShop’s “Explore” section revealing that Mega Man games are coming to the Nintendo Switch Online Game Boy library. The banner was reportedly only up for an hour before it was taken down. So, it seems that Nintendo’s next batch of retro game additions will be coming very soon. Whenever Nintendo officially announces them, we’ll let you know.

  1. Why would they only add the Game Boy Mega Man games?

Well… Nevermind. I guess it’s probably because the NES, SNES, and GBA games are all available to purchases as collections on Switch.

  2. Can we please get the first Sword Of Hope game on NSO? I’ve been waiting for that one since the sequel was released on the 3DS eshop back in 2012.
