Finally I got way low expectations this time with the new system coming next year so I’m not hoping for anything too big but I would love to hear some new stuff for nso.
I reckon this year will just be filled with more ports / shovelware to tide us over. Really hoping to finally get Galaxy 2 (maybe package with an upscaled 3D Land?) on Switch, or maybe Metroid Prime 2 Remaster. I feel like those are good end of life cycle fillers. Also I hope we see more NSO content, the GBA library needs some more love.
But the realization that there is no “Switch 2” info is nice, to set expectations going in.
I share exactly the same hopes 8O (with MP3 in addition), high five !
Well, better late than never. I wonder how they’re going to mess this one up.
If Prime 4 is still coming to Switch (and not exclusively Switch 2) then I’m going to bet it’ll get shown tomorrow. If it’s a Switch 2 exclusive, probably not. I’d say the ideal situation is release on both platforms, kinda like BOTW launched.
GUH DAMN FINALLY!
Well I’m not getting my hopes but I’m hoping for something entertaining like a remaster games from the 3DS like Kid Icarus.
Not expecting much. Fully expect a bunch of remakes, spin offs, 3rd party, and NSO games. Hope at least one game is announced that I’ll be interested in buying.
Sad that Nintendo has to reiterate there being no Switch 2 news. Practically everyone I know said they were excited to hear about the Switch 2 in June despite Nintendo making it perfectly clear that nothing was going to be announced.
Never forget people expected to see a trailer of Smash 4 in E3 2012 despite Iwata saying it won’t begin development until after Kid Icarus Uprising finished
if we’re getting a reveal it’ll probably be late fall or winter.
I’m gonna say fall honestly.
Not expecting much but nice to see it officially confirmed.
At this point. I just want Switch 2 news.
40 minutes is a lot, we’ll probably see a lot of games. Hopefully several 1st party ones.
Now that Nintendo successfully managed expectations, my only hope from this direct is that they announced a port/remake/sequel to kid Icarus uprising
What we’ll see for sure : Ys X, Dragon Quest I-III HD, more Pokemon news
What we’re hopefully getting :
– Metroid Prime 4
– Zelda TP and WW HD
– F Zero GX
– Hi-Fi Rush
Not very likely, just dreaming here :
– New Switch hardware : a smaller, low cost version to boost sales until the end of life
– Super Metroid Remaster
– Chrono Trigger HD
– NSO : Megaman NES episodes + Megaman X 1, 2, 3
– Xenoblade X
– Astral Chain 2
They have stated twice when only once was needed that the Switch successor will not me mentioned “during” the show.
Wouldn’t it be funny if directly after the presentation there is teaser trailer for the device and they say, “Hey, we said it wasn’t going to be mentioned DURING the show.”

What I’m hoping for:
-the rumored F-Zero GX remaster
-Tomodachi Life port/sequel
-Kid Icarus Uprising remaster
-ANYTHING about Metroid Prime 4
-Xenoblade X port/deluxe edition with epilogue or more story
What I’m expecting:
-…honestly I have no idea. The only other first-party game we know of coming to Switch is Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD and that releases literally this weekend, and we’ll probably see at least a little bit of it in this Direct. It’s hard to think of what the Switch doesn’t have that could still feasibly come to it.
