    1. Them just saying 2025 without any other release window leads me to believe you’re right on the money.

              1. He is from an ancient time when this site was all about the 3DS and even before then in the Wii and DS days

                1. ||Lord Kimishima told me that my services weren’t required anymore and dismantled my former shell…||

      1. Y’all been doing that commander roleplay war for 11 years wow…. I gave of the Rosalina stuff… Persistence…nice

    1. It looks like it is a direct sequel and not something entirely new. This is a smart decision. I imagine that’s why it took so long. They probably wanted to change it drastically and if so it wouldn’t be a Prime series but something of its own.

  1. Why wouldn’t this be saved for the Switch’s successor? This could have used the better hardware to improve the wow factor upon its reveal.

  2. At long last, I have no doubt that this is a possible cross over game for switch/switch 2.
I imagine this game will run smoother on the e switch 2, but will still be a great experience on the switch.

I know a lot of people, with the release scheduled for next year would’ve hoped that this game would’ve been a full blown switch 2 title with all the extra raw power, but I’m kinda glad it’s on switch, it deserves it place on such an amazing console and it’ll send it out with a bang.

    1. It might have amazing sales, but the Switch hardware isn’t “amazing”. It’s also not a “console” it’s a handheld with TV out.

  3. It looks like a high end ps4 pro game, which is incredible nice for the switch, triple A Nintendo games will ALWAYS look absolutely phenomenal

    1. Which is very ironic.
Back in the olden days of ppl comparing Metroid with Halo; Samus with Master Chief

Now today Halo is a shell of its former self and Metroid is getting a resurgence of popularity and bangers.

  4. Some people should open their eyes, it’s just a switch game… On the other hand, the vagueness regarding its date coincides with what I said: it will be the last on switch and one of the first on the successor

  5. Looking at the overall graphics geometry and various textures, I’m surprised at the complexity of the scenes. I know the switch can handle it, but I’m wondering if this trailer is beta footage from the next-gen Nintendo console. Just a thought.
Either way, Retro definitely upgraded their game engine and they had a good amount of help.

  6. This is impressive I have to say, this new game just made my day!!!
Hmmmm I wonder why this game looks better unveiled at first, but Halo first shown on Series X looked the worst.

  7. Been waiting over a decade for this. UNDERWHELMING trailer. Missing music.. missing excitement .. no new gameplay mechanics shown.. yawn.
