While the full charts from the United Kingdom have yet to come through, data has emerged from Games Industry journalist Christopher Dring that the No.1 video game this week is Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD for the Nintendo Switch family of systems. That’s not all, as Luigi’s spooky adventure is currently the second fastest selling Nintendo Switch game of 2024, behind Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. This data only includes physical releases, as Nintendo doesn’t provide weekly digital sales.

It’s been fun playing it again, but it is still my least favorite of the current trilogy. The mission structure was always the main thing holding it back.
The mission structure was disappointing but I don’t think there’s any way I could say it’s worse than the original. It’s got so much more new content and you could finish the original comfortably in a couple hours.
