Last month, Nintendo announced some more first party games for this year. So, this past week has seen the Entertainment Software Ratings Board, or the ESRB for short, releasing ratings for the games in the United States. One of them is Super Mario Party Jamboree, which is slated to release on the Nintendo Switch on October 17th.
The ESRB has rated Super Mario Party Jamboree “E” for “Everyone”, with an additional note that the game contains “Mild Fantasy Violence”. As for the rating summary, it is nothing out of the ordinary for a Mario Party game. In fact, they even say that “this is a collection of mini-games (party games) in which players compete to earn stars, coins, and rankings”. You can see the entire rating summary down below.
Rating Summary
This is a collection of mini-games (party games) in which players compete to earn stars, coins, and rankings. As players engage in different modes (e.g., board game, rhythm games, puzzle-based games, flying games, mini-games), they encounter or participate in whimsical instances of fantasy violence: cartoony cannons/cannon turrets that shoot at giant characters; avoiding a robot with giant boxing gloves/fists; using over-sized hammers against each other; connecting electric circuits to zap a boss character. Damage is indicated by blinking, comical yelps, and/or dizzy star effects.
