Man who sent bomb & death threats to Nintendo sentenced to 1 year in prison

By now, you’re more than likely aware of a 27 year old man that sent multiple bomb and death threats to Nintendo late last year, which was around the time that Nintendo Live Tokyo was supposed to take place. Since then, the man has been arrested and charged for the threats, and he has been on trial.

Well, a verdict in his trial has been reached. The man has been sentenced to a year in prison, as well as a 4 year suspension. A statement from a Nintendo employee was read out in court, saying that the threats terrified them and it reminded them of the 2019 Kyoto Animation Studio 1 arson attack that killed 36 people and injured another 34. Prior to that attack, the team at Kyoto Animation received many death threats. You can see a social media post relaying the news down below.

  1. Sometimes you have to wonder if Nintendo makes as many enemies as arrests they cause, maybe THEY’RE the issue.

It’s only going to get worst, Nintendo. Remember what happened to Yokoi after you let him go?
