Super Nintendo World Direct happening tomorrow

Nintendo has been very quiet about their next console. However, they’ve been rather open about pretty much everything else. In fact, there has been an alarm clock revealed, as well as a Nintendo Music app. However, Nintendo isn’t done. Even Super Nintendo World, which has been open for a good while now, is getting some attention.

You see, Nintendo has announced a Super Nintendo World Direct. It will be happening tomorrow at 5pm Eastern/10pm UK time, and the 10-minute presentation will feature Donkey Kong Country. Nintendo of America announced it via social media, so you can see their official social media post about the matter down below.

  1. Nintendo doesn’t want to cannibalize any holiday Switch sales by announcing the Switch 2 right now, I get it. But it still sucks because we KNOW it’s coming. Just announce the Switch 2, and then discount the Switch so if people really can’t wait until next spring, they can pick up the old console for a great price while they wait.

    1. It should be understood that the impact of “the successor has been announced” and “the successor release date is the. the successor has been unveiled” is different in the 2 cases, for the second it will inevitably harm sales as for the first, everyone knows that a new console will see the light of day but when, that’s the question and then if you prefer to wait, well you’ll wait non-stop for another console to arrive, an endless circle…

But Nintendo made a mistake: that of having already announced that the successor is backwards compatible, it will hurt the sales of the switch without a doubt
