Xbox head says they “love the work we do with Nintendo”

Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch ((OLED Model)

One interesting thing that has happened in the Switch era is how much Microsoft’s Xbox division has warmed up to Nintendo. Xbox games they published, such as Cuphead, were eventually released on Nintendo’s hybrid console. There has also been a lot of rumors that Microsoft is planning to bring its own first-party Xbox titles over to the Nintendo Switch 2.

This multi-platform approach, not surprisingly, was one of the topics discussed in a Gamertag Radio video interview with Xbox head Phil Spencer. At one point in the interview, Spencer talks about the future of Xbox games. He said that “it does mean more of our games shipping on more platforms, not just PlayStation. We love the work we do with Nintendo, we love what we do with Valve on Steam. Our games will show up in more and more places”. You can see the video interview down below.

  1. I hate the rumor reel is Nintendo confirming anything? If not I will wait for them to agree and release a video about it in a direct.

    1. Well, We know for sure that they made a ten year contract to bring COD to Nintendo consoles. Also in the iconography published by Nintendo for the games coming in the future from Third parties Microsoft also appears

  2. Can’t wait for April to come around and Microsoft releases an ad showing an image of the Switch 2 with the caption, “This is an XBOX”

  3. There are quite a few rumors about the xbox games coming to the new switch, we are talking about Halo the masterchief collection, Sea of thieves, Starfield, Fallout 4, CoD, Diablo 4 and Microsoft Flight Simulator

For Starfield and halo, I still have my doubts… Starfield because it’s a big game and even if the Xbos series S is able to run it, we don’t know anything yet about the technical capabilities of the new switch and halo, it’s still the big exclusive xbox game, it would be surprising if it became crossplatform but since January 16th, I expect everything and nothing at the same time.

  4. Why spend money on a proprietary handheld when you can just collect game revenue from Nintendo? It’s not hard guys.

    1. What I have a hard time understanding is the current interest of owning an xbox… Game Pass is available on PC and Xbox games everywhere, Microsoft is finding it more and more difficult to justify itself and I find it a shame for those who have invested in an Xbox…

In short, for me they are moving towards the path of a simple publisher, xbox sales are only falling from generation to generation and we don’t see how they can still hope to impose themselves against Nintendo and Sony… even in the USA, Microsoft’s land they are 3rd, still surpassed by a console that is still selling after 8 years!

  5. Sasori Obinna: The puppet master

Obinna tought xbox was going to win the master race, obinna regret supporting the xbox brand yeras ago, am sorry with everyone am offended during those years.

  6. Since Xbox is about giving their exclusives to Nintendo and Sony, how about givng the IP of Banjo-Kazooie to developers who actually will do something with the franchise?
