Pokemon Champions announced for Switch

GameFreak, Pokemon Works and The Pokemon Company, have announced that they’ve been working on a brand new Pokemon-themed experience called Pokemon Champions for the Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms. This new title is basically a full-on battle experience for Pokemon fans which incorporates Pokemon HOME allowing you to bring in your Pokemon from the various titles. You can watch the trailer down below.

“Get ready to experience everything you love about Pokémon battles all in one place—in Pokémon Champions. This new, battle-focused game will feature familiar mechanics such as Pokémon types, Abilities, and moves, creating an environment conducive to rich and varied strategies for new and experienced Trainers alike. It’s not just familiar mechanics—you’ll be able to bring in classic Pokémon from Pokémon HOME, too! Look forward to cross-platform battles alongside your favorite Pokémon on Nintendo Switch and mobile, with a variety of different modes available for your desired experience.”

  1. Before anyone says this is just a new Pokemon Stadium… I want you to remember that Pokemon Stadium actually had good battle animations.

    1. I think that’s just to say it’s limited when it releases but will probably continually update it as more games get released and more Pokemon are available. You can see in the trailer Mega Charizard from ZA, Tera Dondozo from SV, and Aegislash which is from ZA but not SV, so it’ll probably be compatible with at least both gen 9 games at the start
