Next week is going to be a big one for sports fans. Baseball season officially begins in the United States on March 27th. One team in particular, the Seattle Mariners, has been collaborating with Nintendo of America for quite a long time. In 1992, Nintendo had bought the team and would keep a majority interest in the Mariners until 2016. As of this article’s writing, Nintendo currently has a 10% stake on the team.
Although Nintendo isn’t quite as involved with the Mariners as they used to, that doesn’t mean they haven’t forgotten about them. Nintendo even announced earlier today that the Seattle Mariners will feature special logos on their jerseys this baseball season. On their home games, their jerseys will have the Nintendo logo. What is even more interesting is that their away jerseys will have the Switch 2 logo. You can see Nintendo of America’s social media post about the matter down below.

We’re thrilled to share we’re expanding our long-standing relationship with the @Mariners and will be featured on their jersey sleeve this season!

Is this confirmation of the “Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball” remake that we’ve been hoping for?
Yes!
Do they still own them? I’m guessing this is possible because they still either do, or still own a percentage.
Yeeeeaahh. You can tell I didn’t read the article before posting 😬
No
Mario Baseball confirmed for Switch 2??? D:

That’s embarrassing for the players. I hope Seattle gets to see the playoffs this year. They’ve had decent teams recently but no playoffs.
Who are the Seattle Mariners I’ve never heard of them.
