Nintendo has revealed in the recently released digital edition of its Nintendo Magazine 2025 Special Issue what the Kyoto-based company is targeting when it comes the visually impressive Donkey Kong Bananza for the Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo says it is currently targeting 1080p resolution with HDR and a silky smooth 60fps when played in handheld mode. The console can run games in handheld mode at 120fps, but that would be a big ask for Donkey Kong Bananza. We will find out how they did when the game launches in July.
Nintendo aiming for up to 1080p resolution, 60 FPS with HDR, in handheld with Donkey Kong

So glad Nintendo Games so far on the Switch 2 have the standard 60 fps mindset going forward.
For the next Zelda game, I would prefer more graphical detail and fidelity with a locked 30 fps. 🤔
eww no
frame rate > graphics, always
Good. Hopefully most if not all Switch 2 games will run at a stable 60fps
This will help save Pokemon for having chopping frame rates.
Switch 2 can also run games at 120 fps in docked mode. 🤷♂️
Nintendo did Indeed kept their word on the systems frame rate.
Can 30 FPS be left to the dustbin of history please? Developers should always prioritize frame rate (and no, frame rate and lag are not the same thing).
