      1. Could be, though seeing what appears to be an adult Sothis at the end of the trailer leads me to believe it’s a sequel.

…Then again, maybe that’s just what Sothis looked like in the past and her line about remembering her is just them trying to misdirect us. Who knows?

  1. No, it doesn’t look like that… even though it apparently takes back some mechanics and at the end, you would think it’s Sothis… we’ll see… only 1 Fire Emblem has had a direct sequel so far, which is Path of Radiance.

    1. Mystery of the Emblem is a direct sequel too. And even if you didn’t want to count it because it also contains the original game, than the DS version at least counts. Also the Blazing Blade is a direct Prequel to Binding Blade. Also Also Fire Emblem Awakening is the same continent of the original (which it looks like it might be what Fortune’s Weave is doing).

    2. The first game had a direct sequel. Moreover, Ike and Marth clearly existed in the past of Awakening and are referenced explicitly. This is clearly in the world of 3H. They are not literally showing the exact same throne room and Sothis as the big tease at the end of the trailer just to be like oops sorry guys it’s just something similar to that.

      1. I don’t know where you saw that Ike was mentioned in Awakening… Marth yes because Lucina looked like him, which doesn’t make it a direct sequel… Otherwise, count Engage, which has at least 2 characters from all the games!

        1. I’m not saying it’s immediately after 3H, but that IS Sothis. Period. This is a follow up to 3H in some form.

Ike is not said by name, true, but Priam wields a sword like his and says he descended from the radiant hero… either way, doesn’t really matter to the overall argument.

Fire Emblem has had a direct sequel before PoR
          That is painfully obviously Sothis
No one is saying this is a direct sequel to 3H, but it seems to be a follow up in that world with Sothis
