NatetheHate says next week’s Nintendo Direct is a Partner Showcase

Known leaker Nate The Hate has supplied more information about the upcoming Nintendo Direct presentation and says that the one that’s rumoured for next week is not a main Nintendo Direct, but is instead a Partner Showcase. This is when third party developers showcase what they have been working on for the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo has yet to announce a new Nintendo Direct or a Partner Showcase.

    1. Their heads exploded a long time ago. EVRY SINGLE DAY they post 15-30 minute word salad videos just to say, “I have no new info on anything”. Then, when they realize that they have no personality, they try to act like they have one by acting like a entitled brat that complains about everything.

  1. Yeah no surprise all the leaks about third party ports. I hope new announcements are there. Makes me assume Duskbloods is late this year or delayed.

  2. Regardless if true or not I want some SW2 upgrade path of existing titles like Kakarot, Ys and Trails not just straight SW2 ports with no way to upgrade the SW1 versions.

  3. With all the censorship and DEI nonsense that is happening at Nintendo, I really wonder when we reach the Wii U moment, where no 3rd party company will support Nintendo with games. I, for my own part, will not support them anymore for as long as this course of action is happening.

    1. That won’t happen unless if an install base is low and third parties don’t see the money in it. If Nintendo keeps releasing Switch 2 versions instead of actual new releases we might see sales plateau out of disinterest, but we’ll have to wait and see. People excused the bulk of Switch’s library being Wii U re-releases for a while because a majority of people skipped it, and it looks like Nintendo thinks they can get away with what they see as the equivalent.

      1. Wii U had other reasons for lack of support like being difficult to port to. Switch 2 I think has sold better than the Wii U already too. Funny Wii U had COD on it. But yeah huge difference between the 2.

        1. and being underpowered. The switch 2 is less powerful than a PS5, but the gap is starting to become negligible with diminishing returns as opposed to previous gens. There’s less reasons for Nintendo to be skipped nowadays.

    2. It is no way the Wii U its doi g way better than that. I credit you for standing by your morals. But no Switch 2 no where near Wii U and so far not a failure honestly at worst it may slightly sell less than Switch 1 overall if it does somewhat bad in the long term.

  4. Huh. This actually makes a lot of sense. I guess we’re going to be getting some really good 3rd party stuff, then. All things considered I’m actually really happy with this considering how insane 3rd party support has been. We’ll probably get a release date for Elden Rings, things like the previously stated Expedition 33, ReFantazio, FFXVI, maybe RDR2 and the RE Remake Trilogy. That and one or two more suprises and it’d be one of the most legendary partner directs they’ve ever done lol.

Between Mario Tennis Fever, Virtual Boy, Pokopia, Mario Wonder Switch 2 Edition, all 7 amiibo, Gamecube game additions, The 30th Anniversary Pokémon Presents in February, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and now Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream between now and April, I think I’m more than happy and we’re completely set. If a standard direct happened in the first two weeks of April or the first two weeks of March (April would be better and make more sense), I think that’d be perfect timing considering the Mario Galaxy Movie Direct and Tomodachi Life Direct we’ve already gotten, along with this (hopefully) big Partner Direct.

  5. I’m a bit wary of all these “rumors” as always, they don’t look far, every year around this time, we have a live stream, so well… But I still remember two years ago when the live stream took place in March and not in February, and Nate had come up with something silly saying it was delayed because of Microsoft! And to think that many people believed it…

  6. When did Nintendo ever push for DEI? Did I miss something? They are actually the most conservative company I know probably, with censorship ALWAYS being the thing that they push for, so that is not new. And seeing how much hype Switch 2 is generating, I don’t see third party support dropping any time soon.

    1. They are going the woke route just look at recent game announcements also going hollywood too with announcements being movie stuff now and the illumination head being on the Nintendo board too.

    2. The new Tomodatchi has nonbinary, possible pronouns and same sex marriage. that is enough, for me at least, to stop supporting Nintendo.

      1. non-binary I can maybe agree, but same-sex relationships and marriages are actually just reality. Would be kinda weird if a game didn’t have something that is natural for 10-15% of humans

  7. If this direct is a bunch of games that have already flocked on other people platforms, most people are going to hate it.
