DC x Sonic the Hedgehog is back and will be returning with a new five-issue event which is titled DC x Sonic the Hedgehog: Metal Legion. This will launch worldwide on 5th May, 2026. Ian Flynn will be at the helm of the project and the gorgeous artwork will be supplied by artist, Adam Bryce Thomas. Here’s what to expect:
“In Metal Legion, mysterious mechanical rings appear across both worlds, linking the DC Universe and Sonic’s dimension in unpredictable ways. The heroes are thrilled to see each other again, but the cause of their reunion carries a darker purpose. A hidden enemy is manipulating events from the shadows, and the collision between worlds could spiral out of control.”
“I had an absolute blast the last time around,” Ian Flynn said. “I’m really happy that the tease we left at the end of the first crossover is finally coming to fruition. I hope everyone enjoys this second go-around as much as I did writing it.”

It’s really cringe how they all wear the costumes, just be yourselves. I hate how kiddy and baby Sonic often is now. People want to say Sonic was always for kids, that’s true but not like this, it was cool and still appealed to more mature audiences and wasn’t “bAlDy McNoSeHair” and *hEy SoNiC i FiXed ThE pLaNe WiTh PaPeRcLiPs AnD sHaMpOo BoTtLeS”
Its a cross over grow up they did the same with the turtles it would be boring if its just them on doing the same old crap they do in their respective universes. Read it or dont the rest of us are gonna love it.
