Capcom has published a celebratory message on X as their intriguing Pragmata video game has now gone gold meaning that it is finished and ready to ship out to retailers. It is a big milestone for the Japanese company and while development has finished on the title they will presumably be busy releasing post launch updates to fix any accidental bugs that have been discovered. Capcom’s next flop alongside MH Wilds, Dead Rising remake, Path Of The Goddess, Dragons Dogma 2, Exoprimal, and various Capcom collections like Marvel. Wilds sold more than RE 9 so I wonder if they consider that a flop too?
Yup if the old IP are selling 10 million and flopping like MH then this is going to flop hard. Capcom better sell to Saudi my guess maybe next year a 30% stake.
Agreed this pedo crap would not get made under them. People can be as islamophobic as they want but the Islamic religion has morals and wholesomeness. Same with Street Fighter catering to foot fetish weirdos with Juri or Resident Evil 9 having Grace moaning when her health’s low and the weird simps for Leon.
They need to clean EVO up. The multiple events a year is stupid and needs to end. Just have 1 in Saudi or 2 for Saudi and Japan. Also clean thr tournament scene no more weirdos like Mr Wizard or who he allowed. Smash could come back with clean players no weirdos like ZeRo who should be jailed. Also finally NO NRS games. The EVO awards was a waste allowing Invincible VS and Avatar to show but no SNK? They better not use those games for EVO. The leadership does need to change also stop other companies from backing other tournaments it would kill Combo Breaker.
Nah, RE9 had a smaller budget then monster hunter and it made it’s money back quickly. It’s still sold out everywhere.
I don’t trust that it’s all a narrative look now they saying StarForce collection sold out everywhere but it’s still on Amazon, honestly it’s media lying or blowing isolated incidents of retailer shortages out of proportions like they did FF7 remake port to gas people into thinking the game is a mega success when it’s not. Also RE9 I think is expensive and with multiple flops it adds more pressure to later releases to make up for those losses. Marketing also hurts MH Wilds wasted money on IShowSpeed to promote it and Geoff Keighley shows which cost $1 million and RE9 did the same with Speed playing it and multiple reveals, Speed does not come cheap. Another one they spent on was Street Fighter 6 and I don’t think that’s a mega hit either paying Lil Wayne to promote it, raising prize pools, and guest cosmetics and DLC and Keighley show reveals. Adding on they ported it to Switch 2 and released around same time Wilds did a while back because Capcom thought it would sell more than 10 million with another platform instead it sold less.
Amazon always has stock, it’s sold out at local stores. Mega man does have a fan base so I expected this.
I’d rather DC vs Capcom but Nagayama needs to grow a spine he bent to westerners way to eat over Alex. Kenny Omega would have defended it and just said in Japan that’s not viewed as weird same with the rest of the world. Nakayama did meet Jim Lee and said he’s a huge DC Comics fan so maybe just get Jeff Matsuda and Glen Murakami on board.
The fandom for this seems to be pedos so no thank you. I’m serious it’s really gross. I wouldn’t doubt the devs in Japan are like this too into that stuff which has me more concerned.
Capcom has always been like that look at Street Fighter 6 the Native American girl, Kimberly, Sakura, or Chun-Li’s adopted kid also I think Chun was underage in earlier games. There’s also weird marketing campaigns like Under The Skin with 14 year old girls I mean it’s Japan. RE 4 with the President’s daughter simping Leon that’s another.
Mouse PI comes out same time getting that instead.
