NateTheHate on Star Fox: “I have no update to share, the intent was to reveal this month”

Leaker Nate The Hate previously revealed that Nintendo has been hard at work on a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and a new Star Fox game which he said was planned to be announced this month. There’s still a few days left of the month for it to be announced by Nintendo and Nate has said that the intent was for it to be revealed this month, though plans may have changed.

Have no update to share. Intent was to reveal this month.

  1. It’s always the same with these guys; they share “information” pulled out of thin air without any proof or anything, but since they’re well-known, it doesn’t matter if they’re “wrong”—they can always blame the publisher, in this case, Nintendo

      1. In that case I can claim that a new 3D Mario is scheduled to release in December of this year. If I’m wrong, Nintendo just pushed the date back. You’ll never know if I’m lying or not.

      2. Of course. It was just like the rumors of Crash coming to Smash. “I’ll keep saying it until it eventually happens”. It’s the oldest trick in the book. People also started rumors about Nier: Automata coming to the original Switch at every opportunity until it happened. Did that make them any less wrong? No, because it didn’t happen when they said it would.

The Star Fox rumor was more ludicrous because it mentioned the specific timeframe (and we’re 5 days before the end of the month) and it’d be announced at very specific media (NT or X). Sure, Fox got a lot of exposure in the new Mario movie but that only makes a rumor more believable instead of outright true. With leaks, it’s “false until confirmed true”, not the way around. People also rumored that Black Flag remake was coming to NS2 and lo and beho, nothing.

Something tells me that the Star Fox rumor was Nintendo’s attempt to catch the people leaking info.

  2. Emily Rogers said the same thing about Mother 3 getting localized and released for Wii U. Time is a circle.

      1. Was exposed as a fraud and disappear from the face of the planet, I could say.

The first thing a fake leaker or “insider” does when exposed is to withdraw. NtH is trying to push the “it was pushed back” card for as long as he can but, soon, it won’t be enough.

        1. Last thing i remember was Tilmen’s feud with her. Both of those fell hard out of grace and shall i count that nintendo impact gaming guy Barry Dune who used to comment here and was Tilmen’s number one boot licker.

      2. Dunno. She stopped doing the whole “leaker” stuff some time around the Switch 1 launch I think. I wouldn’t be surprised if she got a ton of backlash and death threats due to the nature of her online presence. I hope the best for her even if I was pissed about the Mother 3 debacle back then.

          1. My family has experienced death threats and harassment irl for being forced to live life differently than others. I find it very easy to believe that people on the internet would harass and send death threats over fake leaks and internet drama.

            1. Yes but in this day and age some influencers would fake stuff to get clicks, also there are real cases like the jessie slaughter drama.

I know people who have been forced to flee because of threats.

  3. Hopefully he can update on this and the State Of Play. He did say he was uncertain about the State Of Play. I’m curious if Schrier is next to be wrong and he’s never wrong with the Miles VA claiming Venom was cancelled. But I hope we get updates from Nate on that State Of Play, another Direct, Kingdom Hearts 4, and Injustice 3. It’s just been dry nothing to be excited about….the whole generation was trash.

    1. Said it bluntly: I just want to know what games release by the time GTA VI comes out. From the start my goal was to get every game of my liking that released by the time GTA VI came out, because I don’t want to be on the web anymore once that game comes out and causes a cataclysm. But I don’t want to preclude the ones that will come out before because of it… but I need to know WHICH games come out by then and… Nintendo is not doing us any favor on that regard…

      1. It’d still make NTH look like an idiot for not coming when he said it would.

I’m all for a new Star Fox (or new games in general, really), but it veers on arrogance when people want to leak something in minute detail and, when it’s getting close for them to be proven false, fall back on “dunno, maybe they pushed it, but it WILL come, trust me bro”. It just reeks of falsehood or, as I said above, Nintendo trying to catch the person leaking stuff. If, in five more days, nothing happens, it’s safe to assume they succeeded.

  4. Guess I wasted my time then… at least Rhythm Heaven Groove and Splatoon Raiders got their release dates, so i see the glass half full.

It remains to understand what the heck Nintendo has planned for the fall. Right now there’s only one fully revealed game left without a release date (Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave), and it’s not nearly enough to fill the rest of the year after July…

  5. It could be fake, but just as likely that Nintendo will delay things because of leakers. Just stop leaking their projects and announcements. It serves no purpose, we can find out now or find out later. Let them do their surprise announcements and quit ruining it for them. If you do it, they’ll delay it just to make you look bad and unreliable. So good going. I’d rather hear announcements directly from Nintendo.

  6. Bruh why is this in my news idfc what a leaker has to say just report when it drops or is officially news. More news like this just gonna block this source.

    1. You have to live under a rock to not know that news about rumors and leaks are a good way to generate engagement, specially when there’s nothing happening. Even if the rumors are blatantly fake. You gotta have SOMETHING to publish at all.

But people will never learn their lesson. After certified frauds like Emily Rogers, the “Grinch leak” and Midori, the cycle continues. NtH might get discredited but, soon enough, a new leaker will appear and people will give them attention. We live at a time when leakers are treated as gods.

  7. Nate: My sources told me this
Nintendo soon after: We’ve spread fake news internally to catch leakers
Comment section: Nate is a fucking piece of shit liar lol let’s kill him

    1. Hyperbole doesn’t make a good argument. Nate was already divisive between some circles even before this fiasco. Something very similar happened regarding the supposed FFIX remake that he also touted as coming and, since Square doesn’t announce it, used the same “pushed back” card. It’d be way easier if he either admitted he’s wrong or, at the very least, recognized he’s been had by Nintendo. But leakers never EVER admit they’re wrong.

  8. These leakers have given very specific and detailed leaks information in the past more times right than wrong. They obviously have access to real intel. Things happen behind the scenes, hanes get cancelled, in interviews developers working for Nintendo have even admitted that Nintendo has scrapped multiple almost completed products, it’s been proven and obvious that they also sit on finished games, so much so that some like Star Fox 2 wasn’t even released. Release dates can change, things can move around, games can even be cancelled and never released. NateTheHate isn’t just some guy making things up online.

    1. No, as we said here: a leak is false until proven otherwise and not the other way around… I could cite other things that Nate claimed without ever arriving or the bogus excuses given because it didn’t happen on the day and time said like the Live 2-3 years ago.

  9. There are too many times where exact information was given that nobody could have just guessed. You are always on this site defending Nintendo no matter what. Nintendo doesn’t like leakers so you mirror that and do everything in your power to be against it.

    1. The problem is that people trust these “leakers” more than the publishers themselves, and that adds extra stress for them; they no longer get the first surprise during announcements, and there is even a perverse phenomenon that occurs which I have witnessed several times: if an event that these “leakers” have “predicted” does not happen, people openly attack Nintendo. If you endorse that, you have a big problem…

Furthermore, do you really think these “leakers” do this voluntarily? Speaking of Emily Rogers, a few years ago, she did not hesitate to provide her PayPal account so that people could pay her to continue spreading information!

This kind of method is disgusting, period!

  10. Please stop replying to me.

That or you constantly are constantly making replies in an attempt to discredit, besmirch, tarnish, smear anybody that Nintendo doesn’t approve of. Nintendo doesn’t care about you. Unrelated but related, I see you harass people on this site constantly as well for saying anything negative about Nintendo. It’s annoying. You are annoying.

    1. You and anonmoyous are the odd ones out here in this article since everyone besides you agree that this seems fishy and fake. Sofiana is just a normal person in this article, what is your deal?

  11. Sofiniona I actually is super annoying though they aren’t the only one. They are Nintendo stans one minded. Trying to speak here is like a Democrat trying to speak on Twitter. You are going to get all the one thought minded twats replying to you in attempt to discredit you or make you look bad even if what you wre saying is just an opinion or even worse, fact. They don’t live in reality, they think what they are told to think by companies like Nintendo. Even if they don’t realize it

    1. It’s a Nintendo news site, there are going to be fans. Did you think that there was only going to be haters? Let people have opinions, it’s what makes us unique. Fans like to argue because it fun. They are just acting like normal humans, but saying they are crazy is just dumb. It’s called a opinion.
