Nintendo Switch 2 owners were disappointed to hear that the intriguing 007: First Light is delayed on the platform and is currently targeting a late summer release. Speaking to The Game Business, IO Interactive CEO, Hakan Abrak, has spoken about why they decided to push back the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 version and it was to be “sure it’s good as it can be” and wasn’t a disappointing release. Presumably it sounds like we will hear of a release date when the team feels they’ve nailed it.
“We just want to make sure it’s good as it can be,” the CEO explained. “I don’t want to hear it wasn’t a good version. To be completely honest, we need a bit more time to get it where we want it to be. We said summer. It’s probably going be late summer.”
“Bond has a special place on Nintendo,” the CEO told the outlet. “And I promise I will do everything I can, and I can do quite a lot being the CEO, to get that in a great shape.”

Optimize DLSS, Hakan.
