Pokemon scalpers reach new low by reselling limited edition Pop-Tarts

Scalpers have been a massive problem in recent times buying up highly-anticipated consoles and accessories. Now they have reached a new low as it has been discovered that they have been buying up limited edition Pokemon-themed Pop-Tarts. The Pop-Tarts are part of the franchise’s 30th anniversary celebrations. They are the standard Pop-Tart flavours, but the box-art features Pikachu, Squirtle, and Jigglypuff. They have been purchased from local Target stores and then sold on eBay for as high as $25, while some unsold listings are listed at $50. The recommended retail price is just $3.

  1. I don’t get scalpers in general, but I REALLY don’t get this one; it’s food .

I didn’t even save the box from the one time I managed to find the Lucio-O’s cereal from Overwatch. This one’s just weird.

  2. So different box art, no difference in the pop tart, makes this so special to scalpers for them to price it at ridiculous prices! Scalpers are more greedy then Nintendo!

  3. Scalpers aren’t even the worst part of it, the people who buy these from scalpers are. If you’re paying $50 for a box of stale pastries just because it has a cartoon character you like on it then you really need to get laid.

    1. No, don’t tell them to get laid. They could potentially have offspring who will be carrying their genes.

  4. Scalpers really are just a completely different kind of shameless. I think trash on the side of the road is less embarrassing than scalpers lmao
