Square Enix says Final Fantasy VII Part 3 could have DLC if “significant demand”

In a new interview Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s game director, Naoki Hamaguchi, has stated that they would be open to downloadable content for the third instalment of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, if the demand was there from the fans. Hamaguchi also said that they did consider DLC for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but “concluded that running development of the second instalments DLC in parallel with the third instalment would inevitably affect the third game’s schedule and overall quality.” Here’s what Hamaguchi had to say about the possibility of DLC for the final game in the trilogy:

“As for DLC beyond the third installment, I believe that will ultimately depend on how strongly fans continue to support Final Fantasy 7 as both a title and a franchise. If there is significant demand, we’d certainly be open to exploring those possibilities proactively.”

    1. I’m down for it. We’re already getting a 3-scoop sundae, a cherry on top sounds pretty nice. Not to mention the fudge topping we got with Remake’s DLC. If anything I’m kinda suprised they didn’t do Rebirth DLC

All in all, this is gonna be one crazy huge package when they inevitably start doing the ‘all-in-on trilogy + DLC’ bundles like, ~a decade from now lol

  1. Where is Kingdom Hearts 4? Was announced 2022 with gameplay and still nothing. Both Rebirth and this will release before it. I swear they hate thwie fanbase when that flops too they should know why. Dragon Quest 12 also ghost but at least Kingdom Hearts showed gameplay.

  2. It seems the same “reinterpretation” retcon type garbage is happening with Yakuza/Like A Dragon the Kiwami games and 0 altered the story ruining it and characters now Stranger Than Heaven throws it out even further. Japan is cooked!

  3. f00k you you sons of f00kin f00

Who keeps interviewing this gy? Plant interviewers from square? Nobody is following this series as ff7 remake has bombed hard

    1. Uhh, I don’t mean to be that guy but remake was actually successful, it was rebirth that underperformed at launch, but then picked up sales after words. I know you are not going to reply, but hopefully you will read my comment and understand.

  4. Kingdom Hearts 4 has demand not this. Watch it flop especially if it releases multiplatform less will double/triple dip. Rebirth flopped watch this flop harder. Square abandoning Kingdom Hearts is why they are continuing to do so bad add on the 30 flops they made.
