Take-Two says their primary console platforms remain Xbox and PlayStation

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has participated in a new interview with Game File during which he specifies that the company’s primary platforms are the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Zelnick points out that they have supported the Nintendo Switch 2 but it’s not their go to platform for AAA releases, which the company is known for, with properties including the Grand Theft Auto series.

On platforms:

“We want to be wherever the consumer is, and we’ve supported Switch 2. You can tell from what we are doing and what we’re not doing that our primary console platforms remain Sony and Microsoft.”

On Borderlands 4:

“We’ve been addressing those challenges, and we want to make sure that we’ve fully addressed Borderlands 4 from a consumer’s point of view before we bring it to more platforms.”

  1. Good, I don’t want rushed games flooding the switch 2. Remember borderlands 2 on the vita? That made me never want a take two interactive game on that system ever again.

  2. Because the CEO is full of it like a celwbrity or politician. Probably listening to a bunch of millennials the dominant platforms now are PC and Nintendo. Watch their games flop GTA 6 I would love to see flop could be possible they could have expectations through the roof but even if that’s the success they want they will still have Judas, Max Payne remakes, and BioShock where are those? Also he’s ignoring the denuvo situation with 2K. This guy watch him get caught in another lie bet in game ads for games just like he claimed GTA6 was coming out what 2025 or 2024 I think the game got delayed twice and watch I think 2027 is the release. Just sell to Microsoft already miss Phil he would have ported to Nintendo!

  3. Sony makes sense because there are like 100 million PS5s out there, but why Xbox? Xbox Series hasn’t sold particularly well, and a lot of people have jumped ship to other platforms just because Microsoft has no vision for the Xbox brand. Keeping Xbox as a primary focus reminds me of when Sega was still tryna sell Genesis in 1996. Nobody cared anymore, and they should have realized it much soonr.
