A spiritual successor to Wii Sports Resort and a sequel to Nintendo Switch Sports, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort has been announced, exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. Taking place on Wuhu Island, the game includes 12 sports: Boxing, Table Tennis, Archery, Tennis, Volleyball, Bowling, Basketball, Golf, Thumb Wrestling, Skateboarding, Power Cruising, Prop Plane, and Jump Rope. Nintendo Switch Sports Resort launches on 22nd October 2026.

I’m all in for this new sequel in this game. I haven’t gotten the new game in the series but I’m willing to try this again since the Wii era in 2007.
Wow another anti consumer move by Nintendo. This game already exists on switch, most of the sports are already available. Now we have to buy a whole new game just to get the new sports and open island areas? I’m all for this, but it should have been a DLC or at least have an upgrade to switch 2 option.
Same thing with the original wii sports resort, that had some things from the original wii sports. I am excited to try this though, it looks fun.
